Amanda Ehn Johnson letters, 1876-1940
Amanda Wilhelmina Ehn Johnson was born on 14 September 1860, in Stora Åby, Sweden. She immigrated to America in 1877, where she settled in Galesburg, Illinois with her grandparents. She married Peter M. Johnson on 15 October 1880, and together they had two children. Amanda passed away on 26 January 1940. This collection contains correspondence between Amanda and her friends and family back in Stora Åby, Sweden after her immigration to America.

Augustana to present 'The Children’s Hour'
Augustana will present "The Children’s Hour," a 1934 play by Lillian Hellman set in a girls' boarding school run by two women. Performances will be Dec. 6-9.
