Fulbright Scholar to present on family, reproduction trends in Scandinavia

Dr. Elina Nilsson was awarded the 2024-25 Fulbright Hildeman Fellowship in Scandinavian Studies. She joined Augustana in January to teach "Reproduction and Family in the Scandinavian Welfare States.”

Planetarium and geology museum to host May 3 open house

Augustana College's John Deere Planetarium and Fryxell Geology Museum will be open to the public on Saturday, May 3, for the annual spring open house. Indoor and outdoor programs will be offered in the planetarium, observatory and geology museum.

Lauren Anderson spiritual music therapy

For Augie grad, music has spiritual and healing powers

Augustana alumna Lauren Anderson, a Chicago native, is involved in music in two big ways: as a music therapist in the pediatric unit at the University of Kansas Medical Center and as a singer/songwriter who recently released “Truly Me,” her first full-length, and who has performed at various clubs around Kansas City, including Knuckleheads and VooDoo.
