Student parking information
All students who want to park on campus must buy a parking permit. This includes students living in residence halls, Transitional Living Areas and commuter students.
Student parking permits cost $220 for a full academic year or $120 per semester. Inquire to Trisha Hines-Morrison about partial term permit costs. Payment may be by cash, check or credit card. Credit card payments must be made in person.

Parking packets with a registration form are mailed to all incoming first-year students. First-year packets will be mailed mid-July (when housing assignments are sent out by Res Life). These packets take 7-10 business days to be delivered.
Students are assigned a parking permit as close as possible to their residence.
First-year students should not return their packets until they have their housing assignments from Residential Life.
Parking permits are not mailed. Students will pick up their permits at the Facilities Services office on campus. Purchase receipts are emailed to each student.
If there are more requests for permits than spaces available, a parking lottery will be held for first-year students for individual lots (based on housing assignment). If a lottery occurs, students will be notified via email that they did not receive a permit in the main lot to their residence area and were moved to the next closest available lot.
If a lottery is needed, it will be held at 8 a.m. Aug. 10.
Parking permits for the academic year go on sale May 11 and continue through spring finals week.
After that, any student who did not purchase prior to leaving campus for the summer will receive a packet in the mail to purchase over the summer.
Only returning students who did not purchase permits before leaving for the school year will receive a parking packet in the mail.
All students can start picking up their parking permits in the Facilities Services office in Sorensen Hall at 9 a.m. Aug. 18.
Students arriving prior to Aug. 18 may park on campus without being ticketed, but tickets will be issued for fire lanes, reserved spots and handicap spots.
All vehicles must be registered with the college. New students will receive a registration form in their parking packets. Vehicles must have permanent plates. The college can only issue a temporary permit until permanent plates are in place.
Students also may register their vehicles in person at the Facilities Office on the ground floor of Sorenson Hall. Bring your student ID card.
Parking lots and permit display
Each parking permit allows you to park in one or several parking lots. Here is a listing of the different parking permits and what lots they allow you to park in.

• B permit lots: B, G
• F permit lots: F, G
• J permit lots: J, G
• K permit lots: K, G
• L permit lots: L, G
• M permit lots: M, G
• N permit lots: N, G
• O permit lots: O, G
• S permit lots: S, G (S lot is the overflow lot located across 30th street from Thorson-Lucken Field)
• TLA permit may park at the designated house and lot G
• LC permit may park in lots C, E, G
• Vehicles bearing term or partial-term permits may park at the area designated on the permit or in lot G
Display your permit properly (and avoid tickets). Remove any old parking permits. Only your current, valid parking permit sticker should be displayed.
Permits must be displayed at the bottom left-hand side of the rear window. Facilities must be able to read the number of the permit at all times. Instructions for how to display the sticker are on the back of your permit when you pick it up.
Note that the number of your permit is tied to your license-plate number. So you cannot, for instance, loan your permit to a friend for the weekend.
