International Street Fest: Dinner
The Office of International Student Life will sponsor the International Street Fest, with a fashion show of traditional clothing, international dinner, game night and folklore presentation. All events are free except the dinner.
A variety of cuisine from around the world will be served in the Gerber Center Dining Hall from 4:30-7 pm. Meal swipes for Augustana students will be valid, and the cost for community members will be $11.25. Faculty and staff will be able to enjoy the meal at a discounted price.
The menu will represent Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the US.

Folklore & More is from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, followed by Game Night in the Brew by the Slough. Those interested in competing at Game Night should register by Jan. 25.

The Culture Show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Gävle Rooms. There will be fashion show of traditional clothing from around the world and an exhibit of student artifacts. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Those interested in participating should sign up by Jan. 25.
Guest recital: Kristín Taylor, piano
Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, associate professor of piano at Waldorf College, will perform.
After attending secondary school in Iceland, she received a doctorate of musical arts in piano performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
She returned to Iceland on a Fulbright grant in 2004-05 to research Icelandic composer Jon Nordal. Taylor received a second Fulbright Scholar grant in 2010 to return to Iceland and research the music of another Icelandic composer, Thorkell Sigurbjornsson.

Faculty recital: Janet Stodd
Augustana flute instructor Janet Stodd will perform a recital.
She plays piccolo in the Quad City Symphony and is flutist for the Symphony's Woodwind Outreach Concerts. She is founder and director of the Augustana Flute Choir and is a member of the National Flute Choir.
She is also founder and president of Quad City Flutes Unlimited. Since 2003 she has been principal flutist and orchestra manager for the Quad City Opera Company.
Winter Chorale Concert
The Winter Chorale Concert will include the Augustana Concert Choral and the Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble, featuring the Webster Competition winners.

Augustana's Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble will perform "Anchored & Unbound: Songs of Faith, Hope & Freedom" in Springfield, Ill.
The group is a select women's ensemble for singers who wish to develop advanced choral skills. The group is conducted by Michael Zemek, with accompanist Gail Baldwin.

ProFair
ProFair is presented by Augustana College and St. Ambrose University, connecting students and alumni to prospective employers (both local and national), for job and internship opportunities.
ProFair at St. Ambrose from noon-3 p.m. today is followed by Interview Day at Augustana.
Buses to take Augustana students to St. Ambrose will depart from Centennial Circle at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Buses will return from the Rogalski Center at noon, 1 p.m, 2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Student registration is not required. However, upon entering the Rogalski Center, students will be asked to sign in.
