Augustana one of eight schools to work with AAC&U

Augustana College is one of eight institutions working with the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U) on an initiative aimed at integrative learning and preparing students for their capstones and signature work. All Augustana students work on at least one Senior Inquiry project that integrates their learning experiences into a culminating project.

The O. Fritiof Ander Lecture in Immigration History will be presented Oct. 7 by Dr. David Krueger, author of "Myths of the Rune Stone: Viking Martyrs and the Birthplace of America."

The Frieze Lecture Series is a 20-year partnership between the Rock Island Public Library and Augustana College. This year's theme is the legacy of the Reformation in this its 500th anniversary year.

Spring 2015 Academic All Americans

The Augustana Vikings had three seniors repeat as Academic All-America selections. On Tuesday, the College Sports Information Directors of America released the list of spring Academic All-America honorees. Runners David Devore and Becca Sund were on it for the second straight year, while David Voland landed a spot on the   list for a third straight year.

Portfolios help students see all they've learned
